The traditional Caribbean rum/fruit cake—or beloved black cake—usually takes months to perfect. Ours delivers that same deep brown color, dense texture, and rich, moist flavor without any of the work. A true “have your cake and eat it too” moment, made with the cherished holiday secrets passed down from Nella, my mom.

Our staff
Our kitchen is a father & son team of Chef Josh & Mour the Baker. Josh passion was spun by watching dad preparing meals at home. Mour the Baker/Chef on the other hand,has made baking the traditional Caribbean rum cakes a labor of love for many years. From childhood he learned this craft, by assisting Nella his mom in the kitchen as she baked the Christmas rum/black or fruit cakes. She would allow him to add a pinch of this and a dash of that to the cake mixture and reward him with a personal small cake of his own. Additional techniques and skills he has since learned and honed professionally over the year. Mour the Baker is more than happy to fulfill your request. Do you have any special dietary needs? Don’t hesitate to ask as we strive to accommodate as best we can. Note we do not include peanuts in our cakes, and we can bake a vegan rum cake option if that your desire.
